ALS/MND Skipping Challenge to spread awareness about ALS MND
ALS/MND is difficult to diagnose early and has a progressive deterioration resulting in an early end of life. It is devastating disease not only for the patients but also for all the family members and friends. Unfortunately, there is a huge lack of awareness about this disease in India. Therefore, Asha Ek Hope foundation, in an effort to raise awareness about ALS/MND, started 30 seconds skipping challenge. It was started on World ALS/MND day 21st June 2018, in this challenge, one has to do as many jumps possible in 30 seconds, take a video of it and challenge their friends / relatives / colleagues to perform better. This is also a social platform to raise funds for ALS/MND. In today’s world, health and fitness has got everybody’s attention and has created a lot of buzz. So, using this magnetism of society towards fitness we created this challenge for a cause.
If one cannot beat the challenge they have to donate for ALS/MND cause. Many people have taken this challenge and are spreading awareness. The videos of people taking this challenge is also being uploaded on our Youtube channel. The first person who started this challenge is a volunteer member of Asha Ek Hope Foundation whose mother has recently passed away due to ALS/MND. We hope to reach people all across India with this awareness campaign.
